This book provides a comprehensive collection of ornamental and heraldic patterns from the early Romanesque to the late Gothic periods in Europe - including motifs from Byzantium and design adaptations of the original patterns in later stylistic epochs - meticulously re-drawn, brought into exact repeats and digitalized (on the included CD-ROM). The designs are suitable for print motifs or in electronic media. The picture data on the CD-ROM can be opened and adapted with all common graphic and image editing programs. Single motifs can also be ordered as fully scalable vector files. The commercial use of the images without prior permission of the publisher (Pepin Press Amsterdam) is prohibited. Approximately 130 pages with more than 110 patterns, including CD-ROM for Win and Mac, texts in 8 languages.
